


„1001 Books” was founded in 1985 by the Austrian „Institute for Youth Literature“. The quarterly magazine is aimed at all readers who are interested in literature for a young audience. Articles, essays, interviews and portraits talk about text and illustration, authors and illustrators, genres and motifs, traditions and current trends. Each issue is dedicated to a main topic. This one’s was about the interplay of text, images and design: the complexity of multimodal texts.
